Ahousat


AHOUSAT  () is a waterfront reserve on FLORES ISLAND in CLAYOQUOT SOUND on the west coast of VANCOUVER ISLAND, accessible only by boat or float plane. It was originally a village site of the Otsosaht people (NUU-CHAH-NULTH); it was conquered and absorbed early in the 19th century by the Ahousaht (also Nuu-chah-nulth) from nearby VARGAS ISLAND.
