Allco

ALLCO, halfway between HANEY and ALOUETTE LK on the north side of the FRASER R, was a large RAILWAY LOGGING camp. The name is an abbreviation for Abernethy Lougheed Logging Co, which ran an extensive operation here from 1921 to 1931 before a major fire (see FOREST FIRES) destroyed much of the area's FORESTS.
