AMSBURY was a stop on the GRAND TRUNK PACIFIC RWY 15 km west of TERRACE on the SKEENA R near Amsbury Crk. A SAWMILL operated here from 1917 to 1928 cutting Sitka SPRUCE for airplane construction. Capt S.J.R. Amsbury was a pioneer local settler.
