ASIA PACIFIC ECONOMIC CO-OPERATION (APEC) is an organization formed in 1989 to promote trade and economic co-operation among 21 member countries around the PACIFIC RIM including Canada. BC has particular interest in APEC affairs because of its extensive trade with Pacific Rim countries.
