DOSANJH, Ujjal, lawyer, politician, premier Feb 24, 2000–5 June 2001 (b 1947, Dosanjh Kalan, Punjab, India). He left India at age 17 to move to England, then immigrated to BC in 1968. While working in a VANCOUVER SAWMILL he injured his back and decided to pursue his education. Eventually he graduated with a BA from SFU, followed by a law degree from UBC.
