FAWCETT, Brian, writer (b 13 May 1944, Prince George; d 27 Feb 2022, Toronto). Raised in PRINCE GEORGE, he moved to VANCOUVER in 1965 to attend SFU and write poetry. He later switched to fiction and essays. Fawcett worked as an urban planner in Vancouver and a teacher in federal prisons before turning to writing full-time; his published books began appearing in 1971.
