Finlay Forks


FINLAY FORKS, 180 km west of FORT ST JOHN, was where the PARSNIP and FINLAY rivers joined to form the PEACE R before the area was flooded when the BENNETT DAM was built. It was the territory of the SEKANI First Nations. Trading posts were established here before WWI and a tiny settlement of trappers and prospectors formed.
