Flounder


FLOUNDER is a general name for a family (Pleuronectidae) of FLATFISH, the right-eyed flounder. It is also a common name used for some specific flatfishes. This family has 19 species that live in BC waters, including the arrowtooth flounder or TURBOT, the starry flounder, the Pacific HALIBUT and a variety of SOLE.
