FOLK, Rick, curler (b 5 Mar 1950, Saskatoon). Already a world champion in CURLING, he moved to BC in the late 1980s and won the BC championship in 1989 and 1993. He led his KELOWNA team of Pat Ryan, Bert Gretzinger, Gerry Richard and alternate Ron Steinhauer to another BC championship in 1994 and on to the Labatt Brier in Red Deer, where they became only the third BC rink to win the Canadian men's championship.
