Fonyo, Stephen Charles


FONYO, Stephen Charles, runner (b 29 June 1965, Montreal; d 18 Feb 2022, Burnaby). He lost most of a leg to cancer at age 12. He was a teenager living in the OKANAGAN VALLEY when Terry FOX ran his Marathon of Hope; inspired by Fox, he organized his own cross-Canada marathon run to raise funds for cancer research.
