French Creek


FRENCH CREEK, 80 km north of REVELSTOKE, was the site of rich discoveries during the Big Bend GOLD RUSH, and a small settlement sprang up briefly in the 1860s. The creek, named for numerous FRENCH CANADIAN miners, is a tributary of the Goldstream R, which runs into the COLUMBIA R.
