GABEREAU, Vicki Frances, broadcaster (b 31 May 1946, Vancouver). In 1974 she ran unsuccessfully for mayor of Toronto disguised as Rosie the Clown. She joined CBC Radio in Toronto in 1976 and spent the next 21 years with the public network. From 1981 to 1986 she hosted Variety Tonight, then moved back to VANCOUVER and hosted a popular afternoon radio talk show, Gabereau, from 1988 to 1997.
