Gilbert, Jim


GILBERT, Jim, sport fisher, artist (b 8 Apr 1932, Victoria; d 14 Nov 2000, Metchosin). He grew up around his father's marina business in BRENTWOOD BAY on VANCOUVER ISLAND, and from the age of 13 he was guiding and operating his own charter business. He attended the UNIV OF VICTORIA and UBC, where he obtained a degree in marine biology.
