Goat Harbour

GOAT HARBOUR, 80 km south of KITIMAT on the east side of Ursula Channel opposite Gribbell Island, was a supply centre for a dozen LOGGING camps in the 1920s. The logs were sent south to OCEAN FALLS. There is a HOT SPRINGS in the bay noted by George VANCOUVER's surveyors. A post office operated here briefly in the late 1930s.
