Greene, Alan


GREENE, Alan, missionary (b 1889, Orillia, ON; d 10 Oct 1972, Sechelt). While he was a student at Wycliffe College in Toronto in 1911 he was asked to work with the COLUMBIA COAST MISSION during his summer holiday. After 3 summer tours with the mission, and service as a chaplain during WWI, he returned to BC permanently in 1919 to minister to the LOGGING camps and isolated homesteads along the coast. He worked with the CCM for his entire career, serving as its second superintendent from 1936...
