Growers' Wines Ltd


GROWERS' WINES LTD, one of BC's earliest wineries, was founded in 1923 in VICTORIA by farmers on the SAANICH PENINSULA. Initially the company specialized in loganberry products. It was managed by the CONSERVATIVE politician Herbert ANSCOMB from 1927 until 1955, when it was sold to a VANCOUVER syndicate.
