GULF OF GEORGIA TOWING CO LTD was one of the top 5 TOWBOATING companies on the BC coast before the industry was reorganized in the 1970s. Founded in VANCOUVER during WWI by George WALKEM, it grew to have the largest fleet of wooden barges or scows in the industry.
