KOERNER, John, artist (b 1913, Czechoslovakia; d Vancouver 23 Feb 2014). He was a law student in his native Czechoslovakia when he moved in 1937 to Paris to pursue studies in art. In 1939, as war approached, he left Europe and came to VANCOUVER, where he worked in the family lumber business (see KOERNER BROTHERS) until 1951.
