Larkin, Peter Anthony


LARKIN, Peter Anthony, biologist (b 11 Dec 1924, Auckland, NZ; d 10 July 1996, Vancouver). He was one of Canada's leading fisheries experts. After graduating from the Univ of Saskatchewan in 1946, and attending Oxford Univ as a Rhodes Scholar, he worked as a fisheries biologist with the BC government and taught at UBC from 1948 to his retirement in 1989, when he became a professor emeritus.
