Lions Bay


LIONS BAY, village, pop 1,390 (2021), is a residential community perched on the steep side of HOWE SOUND, 11 km north of HORSESHOE BAY. The name refers to the famous twin mountain peaks, the LIONS, which loom above it. Originally a collection of summer cottages, Lions Bay developed a more permanent population after the completion in 1958 of Hwy 99, the SEA TO SKY HWY.
