Louie, Tong


LOUIE, Tong, entrepreneur (b 1 Mar 1914, Vancouver; d 28 Apr 1998, Vancouver). He was the son of Hok Yat Louie, founder of a VANCOUVER grocery. When his father died suddenly in 1934, Tong interrupted his education to join the family business. Under his leadership H.Y. Louie Group grew and diversified.
