Lynx


LYNX (Lynx canadensis) is one of 3 wildcats in BC (the others are the COUGAR and BOBCAT). They inhabit the Interior forests, where they prey mainly on snowshoe HARE, though they also eat RODENTS and birds. The lynx weighs up to 18 kg and is characterized by a short tail, large feet, tawny fur and long black ear tufts, which improve hearing.
