Lyons, Thaddeus Sylvester "Teddy"


LYONS, Thaddeus Sylvester "Teddy," transit worker (b 1887, Portage la Prairie, MB; d 27 Feb 1955, Vancouver). From 1911 to 1950 he worked as a conductor on one of BC ELECTRIC RWY CO's 2 open-air observation cars touring downtown VANCOUVER. He was a master of the corny one-liner who entertained passengers with a steady stream of jokes and stories.
