MacKENZIE, Norman Archibald MacRae "Larry," lawyer, UBC president 1944–62 (b 5 Jan 1894, Pugwash, NS; d 26 Jan 1986, Vancouver). He survived 4 years in the trenches during WWI, then studied law at Dalhousie Univ in Halifax. After graduate work at Harvard and Cambridge, he was called to the NS bar in 1926.
