MACKAY, Isabel Ecclestone (Macpherson), writer (b 25 Nov 1875, Woodstock, ON; d 15 Aug 1928, Vancouver). She moved to VANCOUVER in 1909 with her husband and was an active member of various writers' groups. Well-connected to the major Canadian writers of her day, she was close to Pauline JOHNSON and in 1911 helped to raise money to publish Johnson's Legends of Vancouver.
