MAGAZINES, LITERARY, publish original literary texts, reviews and criticism. In BC one of the earliest examples was BC Argonaut, which published 2 issues in the 1930s. A more successful publication was CONTEMPORARY VERSE, edited by Alan CRAWLEY in W VANCOUVER from 1941 to 1952, which featured the work of leading modern Canadian poets.
