Nitinat Lake


NITINAT LAKE, 27.48 sq km, is a long (24 km), narrow inlet south of BAMFIELD on the west coast of VANCOUVER ISLAND that is connected to the ocean by a tidal narrows. Boats gained access to the lake by crossing a treacherous bar. Part of the lake is in the Nitinat Triangle portion of the WEST COAST TRAIL section of PACIFIC RIM NATIONAL PARK RESERVE.
