PEP, Tony, boxer (b 14 Sept 1964, New Westminster). Born Anthony Allan Pipke, he learned to box at the Hastings and Kingsway BOXING Centres and fought 12 amateur fights before turning professional at age 17. His controversial attitude made him unpopular with hometown fans and he was booed when he defeated Toronto's Ned Simmons to win the Canadian featherweight championship on 10 Apr 1985.
