Prince Rupert Fishermen's Co-operative Association


PRINCE RUPERT FISHERMEN'S CO-OPERATIVE ASSOCIATION was chartered in 1931 to promote the interests of North Coast fishers. The CO-OP opened fish camps and collecting stations, bought packers and in 1940 established the Prince Rupert Fishermen's CREDIT UNION. During WWII the co-op opened its own fish plant; it expanded over the years into a full processing facility on the PRINCE RUPERT waterfront.
