Robertson, Bruce Richard


ROBERTSON, Bruce Richard, swimmer (b 27 Apr 1953, Vancouver). He started SWIMMING competitively, for VANCOUVER's Canadian Dolphin Swim Club, at the relatively late age of 16 and won the 100-m butterfly gold medal at the 1971 British championships 2 years later. He was selected for the 1972 Canadian Olympic team and won the silver medal in Munich, placing 2nd to American 7-time gold medal winner Mark Spitz in the 100-m butterfly.
