Royal Vancouver Yacht Club


ROYAL VANCOUVER YACHT CLUB was founded as the VANCOUVER Yacht Club in 1903 and received permission to use the prefix "Royal" in 1906. The first elected commodore was real estate dealer Walter E. Graveley, who sailed competitively in the 1876 America's Cup race. Initially located in Coal Harbour, the clubhouse was established at its present site at JERICHO on ENGLISH BAY in 1927.
