SJOLSETH, Minn, artist (b 4 Nov 1919, Oksendahl, Norway; d 7 Nov 1995, Kamloops). After studying art in Oslo she immigrated to Canada in 1953. She continued her studies in Regina and Mexico and in 1956 settled in VANCOUVER, where she ran 2 art galleries and painted professionally. She is known especially for her oil paintings on aboriginal themes.
