Stein River


STEIN RIVER, 160 km northwest of VANCOUVER, rises in the COAST MTS and flows 80 km eastward from dense RAIN FOREST through arid drylands to empty into the FRASER R just above LYTTON. The valley and surrounding watershed of the Stein have been used by the NLAKA'PAMUX (Thompson) First Nations and their ancestors for thousands of years.
