TAYLOR, Louis Denison, longest-serving mayor of Vancouver (b 22 July 1857, Ann Arbor, MI; d 4 June 1946, Vancouver). Despite his electoral success Taylor remains a neglected figure in VANCOUVER's political history, remembered if at all for his habit of wearing a red tie.
