Trinity Western University


TRINITY WESTERN UNIVERSITY was established in 1962 on the site of a former dairy farm in LANGLEY as Trinity Western Junior College by the Evangelical Free Church, a conservative protestant denomination. The name changed to Trinity Western College in 1971. It began granting a 4-year bachelor's degree in 1979 and became a chartered university in 1985, the first private university in the province. In 2005 student enrolment exceeded 2,690.
