Valdes Island


VALDES ISLAND  () , east of NANAIMO, is one of the northern GULF ISLANDS. It is separated from GABRIOLA ISLAND on the north by GABRIOLA PASSAGE and at its south end it looks across PORLIER PASS to GALIANO ISLAND. Both passes carry boaters from outer GEORGIA STRAIT to the inner Gulf Islands.
