Vireo


VIREO (Warbling Vireo) is a small perching songbird, drab olive green in colour with a white or yellowish-white chest. It feeds on INSECTS and BERRIES and builds a distinctive cup-shaped nest that hangs suspended from a tree branch. Of 8 species in Canada, 6 occur in BC.
