WATSON, Paul, environmental activist (b 2 Dec 1950, Toronto). Raised in New Brunswick, he joined the Norwegian merchant marine as a teenager, then settled in VANCOUVER. There he became involved in the formation of GREENPEACE and took part in its early campaigns against nuclear testing, WHALING and the SEAL hunt.
