WILLIAMS, Parker, miner, politician (b 1873, Glamorganshire, Wales; d 1958, Nanaimo). He immigrated to Ontario at age 19 and in 1898 moved with his young family to NANAIMO, where he worked in the COAL MINES. In 1903 he was elected to the provincial legislature as a candidate for the SOCIALIST PARTY OF BC (SPBC) and he held his seat through 4 more provincial elections.
