WRIGHT, Laurali Ruth "Bunny" (Appleby), writer (b 5 June 1939, Saskatoon, SK; d 25 Feb 2001, Vancouver). After an itinerant childhood, and a stint as an actor in children's theatre, she began a career in journalism, first in MISSION, then at the Calgary Herald newspaper from 1968 to 1977. A writing course with W.O. Mitchell encouraged her to try her hand at fiction.
