YOUNG, Patricia, poet (b 7 Aug 1954, Victoria). She is the author of 8 books of poetry, most recently Ruin and Beauty: New and Selected Poems (2000). Her collection All I Ever Needed Was a Beautiful Room won a BC BOOK PRIZE for poetry in 1988, and her next book, The Mad and Beautiful Mothers, won the 1990 Pat LOWTHER Award from the League of Canadian Poets.
