AR185. white sea spider

Boas Islet, Hakai Passage, c. BC

This small white sea spider was living in a colony of hydroids collected at Boas Islet, Hakai Passage, s. BC, during an MV Nautilus Explorer cruise. It was not until after the dive that the tiny 0.7 cm (0.3 in) creature was noticed. Unfortunately the specimen was subsequently lost, and its identity remains a mystery.
