ARMY & NAVY Department Store has been a downtown VANCOUVER institution for more than 80 years. Founded in 1919 on West Hastings St by three Cohen brothers, Sam, Joe and Harry, the army-surplus business grew to a chain of 5 stores known for their variety of merchandise sold at bargain basement prices.
