BC WILDLIFE FEDERATION (BCWF) is the largest and one of the oldest voluntary conservation organizations in BC. A number of fish and game clubs, some of which had been in existence since the beginning of the 20th century, formed a provincial organization under the name of BC Sportsman's Council in 1947. Ten years later (1957), the name was changed to the BC Wildlife Federation. A major purpose was to meet annually with the government's Game Commissioner to establish hunting and fishing seasons...
