Brewster, Harlan Carey


BREWSTER, Harlan Carey, salmon canner, premier 23 Nov 1916–death (b 10 Nov 1870, Harvey, NB; d 1 Mar 1918, Calgary). His father owned a shipyard, and as a young man Brewster earned his mate's ticket in deep-sea navigation. He arrived in BC in 1892 and worked as a purser for the CP NAVIGATION CO.
