Briar Ridge

BRIAR RIDGE is a farming (see AGRICULTURE) and DAIRY FARMING area in the PEACE R district, 12 km east of DAWSON CREEK, near the Alberta border. The area is sometimes referred to as E POUCE COUPE. The first settlers, Sam and Jack Suffern, arrived in 1914, and many WWI veterans took up land here from 1918 to 1919.
