Eagle Pass

EAGLE PASS (el 561 m) slices through the MONASHEE MTS 20 km west of REVELSTOKE. It was found by the surveyor Walter Moberly in 1865, when he noticed EAGLES flying through it, and the CPR used the pass in the 1880s as the route for its main line. The TRANS-CANADA HWY was also built through this pass.
