EDWARDS, Ralph A., pioneer homesteader, conservationist (b 1891, NC; d 1977, Prince Rupert). As a teenager he travelled west to Oregon and California. In 1907 he arrived in BC, where he worked on the construction of the GRAND TRUNK PACIFIC RWY. He then returned to California but came back to BC in 1912 and took up land at Lonesome Lk in the valley of the ATNARKO R in what is now southern TWEEDSMUIR PROVINCIAL PARK.
