Estevan Point


ESTEVAN POINT  () is at the tip of rugged HESQUIAT Peninsula at the north end of CLAYOQUOT SOUND on the west coast of VANCOUVER ISLAND. It was named in 1774 by Spanish explorer Juan PÉREZ after one of his officers, Estéban José MARTÍNEZ. The LIGHTHOUSE, built in 1908–09, is the tallest on the coast (38.7 m).
