Kitwanga Fort


KITWANGA FORT was an imposing group of plank homes surrounded by a palisade atop a large mound near the SKEENA R between TERRACE and HAZELTON. The fort, which was destroyed in the early 1800s, was located on an important trading route used by the GITKSAN people.
